Infant killed, woman injured in Old East Dallas drive-by shooting

A mother and her child were shot during a drive-by shooting at their home on Sunday evening.

According to the Dallas Police Department, when officers arrived they found a woman and a one-year-old child had been shot. They were taken to a local hospital where the child died.

The woman was last listed in stable condition as of Monday morning. Police officers were canvassing the neighborhood for more information and evidence. A mother and her child were shot during a drive-by shooting at their home in Old East Dallas on Sunday evening.
