12-17-2023 Teenager after shotgun accidentally discharges

On December 17, 2023, at about 3:15 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 4800 block of Lindsley Avenue.

The preliminary investigation determined when officers arrived, they found a male victim shot at the location.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injury.

This investigation is ongoing and will be documented on case number 225342-2023.

The Dallas Police Department is investigating the shooting of a teenager (16yo) in the 4800 block of Lindsley Avenue in the Fair Park area.

According to the mother of the victim (frame 1423 brown sweater), a 21 yo male give her son a loaded shotgun, and the gun accidentally discharged, striking the teenager.
